Tim Ho Wan is a dim-sum restaurant chain that originated in Hong Kong. The original restaurant had earned a michelin star and so did its other branches in China. It is now known as the worlds cheapest Michelin star restaurant and after spotting one here in the Philippines I had to try it out.
The service here was great! The person that served me was very helpful, quick to serve drinks and the food was flying in from the kitchen. The restaurant was full and the floor staff were able to maintain a great level of service throughout the restaurant.
I ordered the baked bun with bbq pork, prawn dumplings, vermicelli with pork, deep fried fish fillet with fried garlic, pork dumplings with shrimp and dumplings with chilli sauce.
The food was delicious! The baked bun with bbq pork was very tasty! The bun was crisp on the outside and was light and fluffy on the inside. The bbq pork filling was tasty and marinated well. I could easily eat all 3 of these. The dumplings were cooked perfectly, tasted fresh and had a beautiful texture. The Vermicelli with pork was cooked well, however I'm not a fan of coriander so this dish was my least favourite but in saying that it was still tasty. The deep fried fish was cooked nicely, the batter was crisp and the inside was moist and flakey. It was seasoned really well. The dumplings with chilli sauce were also tasty. It wasn't as spicy as it looked but yet again had a strong coriander flavour throughout.
Overall I enjoyed eating here and will definitely dine here again. A great spot for fresh and tasty food served quickly! I had to que for about 10 minutes but it was definitely worth the wait.
